| About Rob |
| Robert Holley believes in capturing the depth of emotion in every photograph he shoots. This belief has led him around the world, from skiing 15,000 foot peaks in the Caucasus Mountain Range, to photographing well-known athletes. His ability to hone in on the moments that matter is the foundation of his successful photography business. Rob has photographed Olympic champions in Lake Tahoe, athletes for Sports Illustrated, and auto racing around the world. He was the Director of Photography for America Online's first on-line soap opera. While all of his jobs have helped shape Rob's vision into what it's become today, the time he spent photographing children at Mattel Toys had a profound effect on him: “I learned very quickly while at Mattel that you have to let kids be kids. They know instinctively if you are being fake. I let them be themselves, and their natural joy and innocence comes through.” With his years of experience, his artistic ability, and his focus on creativity, Rob has continued to build his reputation. This vision led him down a new path - one that has brought him overwhelming success in the wedding industry. Focusing on images that are real and spontaneous, Rob works in an unobtrusive way. He captures the nuances that make each wedding unique, so they can be remembered for a lifetime. His philosophy on wedding photography is simple: “I believe wedding photographs should record the essence of the occasion, tell a story, and illuminate the spirit and emotions of the celebration. I'll capture the natural random moments of your wedding, which reflect the grace, beauty, and joy of your day.” Originally from Connecticut, Rob spent 18 years in California before moving to Northern Virginia in 2008. In 2009 he was proud to be named Photographer of the Year by Northern Virginia Magazine. Today he lives with his wife Christina and their two teenage boys in Sterling, Virginia. |
